Growing up Josh remembers spending his evenings with friends at, what was then called, The Bean Tree Coffeehouse. Sipping coffee, listening to live music and enjoying life. He loved growing up in the Morton area and has always called East Lewis County home.

Marissa grew up in sunny San Diego spending hours sitting on the kitchen floor, watching as grandma put together delicious and complicated cakes. Amongst her friends and family she has always been the “go to” for sweet treats. Over the years she has enjoyed perfecting the art of the chocolate chip cookie, brownie, and cinnamon roll.

In 2007 Josh and Marissa we’re married, and in 2013 the couple moved back to the Morton area to raise their [now] four kids.

The two of them have years of experience working in the coffee industry and Marissa has spent over 10 years running a small custom order bakery out of their home.

Now, after years of dreaming, their dream of owning their own coffeehouse/bakery has finally come true. As new owners but longtime employees and connoisseurs of both coffee and baked goods they are excited to bring a new level of goods and service to all of East Lewis County. Located in the same building that they visited as kids, they are both excited to continue a legacy that has existed for years in the Bean Tree and Rivers Coffeehouse, and show the community that they love what great customer service looks like and what perfect coffee and treats taste like.
